I am an avid reader. I have my mother to thank for that, because as a child I was never allowed to be too loud in the house or go out much, so I spent much of my time engaged in quiet activities, like reading. I do not have favorite authors, but I do have favorite books. A fun fact about my reading habits is that, if I do not like the book, I finish it anyways.... well because if you only read what you enjoy you are limiting your thinking and perspectives (not my idea- I read that in a book). If you have any book recommendations I will be happy to add them to my list.
On my reading list
A Child Called it by Dave Pelzer
If you are going to make every moment of life count, this is a must read!
A book on racism in medicine. I recommend this book to everyone, but specially those that are interested a healthcare profession.
This book had me on edge the whole time. Great for those interested in domestic and intimate partner violence.
